Help shape the next version

A useful report makes a real difference.

Tell me what you expected and what happened. A few clear reproduction steps help more than a long list of guesses.

Prepare feedback

This form stays in your browser. Copy or save the report, review it, then share it through the project's verified feedback channel.

Keep API keys, connection tokens, private drawings and personal information out of public reports. For a security issue, use a private route when available rather than posting vulnerability details.

This form does not send the report automatically. A saved report stays on your device until you share it.

First launch on your Mac

This free Test build targets Apple Silicon (ARM64) and macOS 14 or later. It has been tested on Apple Silicon with macOS 27.2. It is ad hoc signed and unnotarized, distributed outside the Mac App Store; macOS may block the first launch.

  1. Get the ZIP or DMG from the official release page, compare its SHA-256 checksum, and move SketchGlide.app into Applications.
  2. If an unidentified-developer warning appears, check that you trust the download. After trying to open it, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, choose Open Anyway for SketchGlide where available, and confirm Open.

This is a per-app exception described in Apple’s first-launch guidance. Do not disable Gatekeeper or remove quarantine flags. If the alert says the app contains malware or is damaged, stop and report the exact message. A managed Mac may not allow an exception.

Windows Test: first launch

The Windows package targets Windows 11 on Intel / AMD x64 PCs. Extract the complete ZIP into a folder you control, then run SketchGlide.exe with its supporting files alongside it.

This Test build is unsigned and can trigger a Microsoft Defender SmartScreen warning. Check the release source and SHA-256 checksum before deciding whether to run it. Keep Windows security protections enabled. Physical Windows hardware and tablet coverage remain unverified; report your PC, tablet, driver and exact error.

Windows recognition and PDF export differ from the Mac version. Optional cloud AI uses your own OpenAI API key and separately billed usage. Local AI needs a separately installed Ollama service and model.

Optional setup update · 12 October

Portable launch needs no installer. If you use Install.cmd, get the updated setup helpers and compare their checksum. Extract both downloads separately. Copy the three files from the helpers' BuildSupport folder into the complete app's BuildSupport folder, replacing those scripts, then run the app's Install.cmd. Read SETUP-HELPERS-README.txt first.

The update rejects incomplete app folders before replacement, retains licence/verification files and restores the prior app folder if its replacement rename fails. Seventeen isolated Windows setup-function checks pass. The interactive installer dialogue and real hardware still need testing.

Windows via Scoop

For people who already use Scoop with Git, a new custom SketchGlide bucket is public. It downloads the same complete unsigned x64 Test ZIP and adds a Start-menu shortcut. It is not listed in Scoop's default buckets.

scoop bucket add sketchglide https://github.com/12kareem2323-png/sketchglide-scoop
scoop install sketchglide/sketchglide-test

The manifest passes the official schema; all 980 archive files and the pinned SHA-256 have been checked. Actual Scoop install/uninstall has not been tested. Its manifest has no custom cleanup hooks; drawings use a folder outside the application directory. To remove the Scoop app, use scoop uninstall sketchglide-test. The portable ZIP remains available.

Support development

Feedback, small reproducible examples and documentation improvements help too. Donations are voluntary and will not buy extra features or a guaranteed support response.

Where the project is heading

The Mac build and Windows 11 x64 Test are available separately. The focus is smoother drawing, reliable local files and a useful creative drawing toolkit. Wider physical tablet testing and fixes from real feedback will help shape the next Test. Source contributions and clear bug reports are welcome on GitHub.
